Thunder
Senior Herdsire

ARI#: 808742
DOB :
May 20, 1998
Stud Fee: $2,000
SIRE:  Peruvian Hemingway
DAM:  Christina

Thunder is our white, senior herdsire that continues to throw incredible cria year after year ranging from white to light and medium fawn.  Thunder has a myriad of great attributes.  They range from his excellent confirmation, fleece and coverage, to his wonderful temperament, outstanding cria, and the proof that his genes from his father, Hemingway, do indeed run deep.  Thunder goes after and takes down females like nobody's business here at Hood View and we are very proud to keep the Hemingway legacy alive, well and thriving.  Thunder is Cavalli's father and, while we didn't have Thunder in the showing, we've had Cavalli there and the results have been very rewarding. Thunder has sired a Male Color Champion, Reserve Color Color Champion, with numerous other 1st & 2nd Place awards also in our very own Cavalli - see below.

2004 was a great year in the showring for Cavalli (awards below), but my goodness what a difference a year makes.  We have noticed such a drastic physical change in Cavalli's appearance, bone structure and fleece quality in 2004.  He definitely came into his own in a big way and has begun his 2005 show season with a bang!  With only two shows behind us, he's already brought home the Male Color Championship, a Reserve Color Championship and blue ribbons galore.  Cavalli's making us proud to say the least.

So, here we go, on to AWE at the Portland Expo Center the weekend of May 13-15 and the AOBA National Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah the first weekend in June.   Look us up at both these shows and see for yourself what all the buzz is about surrounding our Cavalli.

Through June of 2005 we are going to have an introductory offer of $1,500 for Cavalli's stud fees.  He has cria on the ground already with more due in the spring and summer.  It is with great anticipation that we look forward to welcoming his cria both on our farm and at others.  We are happy to introduce this award-winning son of Thunder and grandson of Hemingway to you and welcome visitors to check both Thunder and Cavalli out firsthand.

It would be great to sit and chat with you about all things alpaca and the industry, call to schedule a farm visit anytime.
